Grégoire Poux-Guillaume

Grégoire (Greg) Poux-Guillaume joined AkzoNobel in November 2022 as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Management, bringing with him 30 years of experience in various industrial businesses and private equity.

Before joining AkzoNobel, Greg was CEO of flow control specialist Sulzer from 2015 to 2022. He joined Sulzer from General Electric, where he became CEO of GE Grid Solutions, a leader in medium and high voltage equipment, software and automation upon GE’s takeover of Alstom’s energy businesses. From 2011 to 2015, he was Executive Vice President of Alstom Group and served as President and CEO of Alstom Grid. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Senior Managing Director at CVC Capital Partners. Prior to this, he held various positions with Alstom Group (2003 – 2008), in technology venture capital with Softbank and in consulting with McKinsey & Company. Greg started his career in Exploration and Production with TotalEnergies.

Greg is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of medmix Ltd, a publicly listed medtech company in Switzerland, a position from which he has announced he will step down in April 2023.

Greg holds an MBA from Harvard and a Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering from the Ecole Centrale Paris.
