Rajiv Rajgopal

Rajiv Rajgopal is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the paints and coatings industry. Currently serving as BU Director for South Asia and Chairman and Managing Director of AkzoNobel India since February 2013, Rajiv has held various leadership roles including Regional Director for Performance Coatings in the Middle East and Africa, and General Manager for Decorative Paints in South Asia. Prior to AkzoNobel, Rajiv held significant positions at airtel and Castrol, including CEO roles for broadband and regional circles, and VP of Retail Sales at Castrol. Rajiv began a career in Sales and Marketing at Unilever, progressing from Management Trainee to Regional Sales Manager. Rajiv holds an MMS in Marketing from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research and a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Education was completed at La Martiniere for Boys Calcutta.
