Tao Shang

Tao Shang is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in the coatings and specialties sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Packaging Coatings for North America at AkzoNobel since June 2015, Tao has held various significant roles within the company, including Finance Director for Japan and APAC Finance Director for Industry Coatings. Prior to AkzoNobel, Tao worked at Covestro as a Business Intelligence Manager and Production Controller, and earlier roles include Certified Public Accountant at Stephen Le Couilliard and Regional Controlling Analyst at Bayer. Tao's educational background includes a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Adelaide and dual Bachelor's degrees in International Business and Commercial Law from Shanghai University, complemented by completion of the CPA Australia Program.
