Aksel Zaimovic

Aksel Zaimovic is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism and production. Currently serving as a Senior Producer at Al Jazeera Media Network since January 2024, Aksel previously held multiple roles at TRT World from May 2015 to January 2024, including Correspondent and Senior Producer. Aksel's career at Al Jazeera Media Network began in March 2011 as an Assistant Programme Editor, advancing through various production roles. Prior experience includes serving as a Broadcast Journalist/International News Editor at TV1 Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a Broadcast Journalist Intern at Al Jazeera Media Network. Aksel's educational background includes a Master of Arts in International Journalism from Cardiff University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Sarajevo.
