Jason McCartney

Jason McCartney is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership. Currently serving as VP of Engineering - ML / AI Innovation at Al Jazeera Media Network since November 2017, Jason leads a cross-functional team focused on innovation projects. Previously, as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Browsium, Jason revitalized a failing engineering organization. Jason's impressive background includes directing software development at Amazon, where responsibility encompassed generating approximately $35 billion in revenue through key website pages. Jason has also held key engineering roles at Muze, Loudeye, and Microsoft, where foundational skills were developed. Jason holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Philosophy from Bowling Green State University.
