Amer Halawi

Amer Halawi has a strong background in finance and investment. Amer is currently serving as the Head of Research at Al Ramz PJSC, where they are leading the research team and contributing to the company's corporate transformation. Prior to that, they founded and managed Catalysis, a global equity-trading venture focused on developing successful trading methodologies. Amer also worked as an advisor and investor at Keross, a software as a service (SaaS) startup. Amer gained experience in sales and investment advising as the Sales Manager and Senior Investment Advisor at Bank Audi. Amer was also the Managing Director and Head of Research at SHUAA Capital, where they formulated and implemented the growth strategy for the Research Division. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions at The National Investor and Goldman Sachs, where they played a key role in developing and managing research and sales teams. Amer started their career as an Assistant Equity Analyst at UBS and later worked as an Equity Research Analyst at BNP Paribas and HSBC securities France.

Amer Halawi completed their education at several prestigious institutions. Amer obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Marketing and International Business from McGill University, graduating in 1992. Amer then pursued a Masters in Finance at ESCP Business School, completing the program in 1995. In 2009, Amer attended INSEAD for Executive Education, focusing on Leadership and Negotiation Dynamics. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Nano Tips for Negotiating Your Salary" in 2022 and "Nano Tips to Foster a Growth Mindset and Mental Agility" in 2023, both from LinkedIn. Amer has also acquired certifications in "Rules for Rising Leaders" and "The Practices of High-Performing Employees" from LinkedIn in 2023.
