Maham Kazmi

Maham Kazmi is an accomplished author and researcher with a focus on emotional resilience in relation to medical diagnoses. Currently an author at New Degree Press, Maham is publishing a nonfiction book titled "It’s All in Your Mind -- Finding Emotional Resilience when Experiencing Illness." Experience includes a research internship at Cedars-Sinai, working on projects related to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and serving as an emergency department physician shadow at the Regional Medical Center of San Jose. Additionally, Maham is actively involved in various organizations, including the UCLA Undergraduate Students Association Council and the UMMA Volunteer Project, promoting student engagement and public health education. As a co-founder of Modern Divergence, Maham has significantly contributed to mental health advocacy in pediatric healthcare. Education includes current studies at UCLA, following previous schooling at Evergreen Valley High School and Evergreen Valley College.
