Ruth Hempson-Putt is a seasoned executive in the retail sector with extensive experience in luxury department stores and operations management. Currently serving as Vice President GCC and General Manager for the Commercial Department Stores at Al Tayer Group since November 2018, Ruth oversees prestigious brands such as Bloomingdale's, Harvey Nichols, and Armani across Dubai and Kuwait. Ruth's career trajectory includes key roles at Emaar as Head of Retail Operations for The Dubai Mall and various managerial positions at Al Tayer Group, beginning in 2007, where responsibilities ranged from Operations Manager to General Manager of Bloomingdale's Dubai. Earlier experience includes regional sales and management roles at Alshaya Group and Debenhams. Ruth is a graduate of Lady Manners School.
