Vikrant Mertia is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as the Head of Motor (Underwriting & Claims) at Al Wathba National Insurance Company in the UAE since January 2024. Prior to this role, Vikrant worked as the Underwriting Manager (Motor) at Qatar Insurance Company in Dubai from December 2017 to January 2024 and held the position of Motor Underwriting Manager at Al Rajhi Takaful Insurance from December 2016 to November 2017. Vikrant's career also includes significant experience as a Portfolio Manager for Motor at RSA from January 2008 to November 2016, and as a Senior Underwriter at Dhofar Insurance Company from August 1998 to December 2007. Vikrant holds a Master of Commerce degree in Accounting from Jai Narain Vyas University, completed in 1996.
