Chelsey Melancon is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in social work and mental health services. Currently serving as a Pathways Counseling Family and Individual Therapist at Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries since March 2022, Chelsey previously worked as a Clinical Medical Social Worker at Children's Hospital New Orleans and as a Social Worker/Mental Health Professional at Milestones Mental Health Agency. Chelsey's background includes facilitating multifaceted treatment plans, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapy for children and families facing mental health and socioeconomic challenges. With a Master's degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Mississippi College, Chelsey brings a strong educational foundation along with hands-on experience from roles such as Graduate Social Work Intern, Assistant Program Coordinator, and various internship positions focused on child welfare and family dynamics.
