James Ward

James Ward is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Associate General Counsel for the Alabama Department of Education since October 2007, while also holding the position of Assistant Attorney General for the state of Alabama. Previously, James was a member of the Board of Directors for the Alabama Council of School Board Attorneys from July 2013 to June 2014, where the council provides legal advice to local school boards. James also served as a Central Staff Attorney at the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals from October 2005 to October 2007, collaborating with four judges, and worked as a Staff Attorney for Presiding Judge John Crawley until January 2007. James holds a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Alabama School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from The University of Alabama.
