Maggie E. Oliver has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Maggie E. is currently working as the Vice President of Alabama Port Authority since August 2022 and previously held the position of Director of Internal & External Affairs from February to September 2022. Before that, they worked as the Senior Director of Government Affairs at Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce from September 2018 to February 2022.

Prior to their role at Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, Maggie served as the Communications Director at the U.S. House of Representatives from 2017 to 2018. Maggie E. also worked as a Special Events Support at the 58th Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC), where they executed all the exclusive events surrounding the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, from December 2016 to January 2017.

Earlier in their career, Maggie served in dual roles as the Communications Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the President at both American Action Network and Congressional Leadership Fund from 2015 to 2017.

Maggie's work experience also includes a role as the Manager of State Affairs at NAHU from 2013 to 2015, where they were responsible for member and government relations, policy research, and execution. In this role, they worked to advance the interests of health insurance professionals and promote affordable and responsible private health insurance market solutions. Maggie E. also served as a liaison to nineteen states and provided education, advocacy, and professional development support. Maggie E. contributed to NAHU's Weekly Legislative Update newsletter, conducted grassroots campaigns, and communicated federal healthcare policy issues to members. Maggie E. also oversaw successful campaigns and led legislative initiatives to improve the Affordable Care Act and defend health insurance agents against government overreach and regulations.

Maggie E. Oliver pursued their higher education with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Policy and Leadership, along with a major in Political Science, from the University of Mississippi. Maggie E. completed their undergraduate studies between 2008 and 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Georgetown University, completing their studies from 2014 to 2016.
