Sarah Mills Carter

Sarah Mills is a seasoned professional in workforce and economic development, currently serving as the Regional Workforce Council Liaison at AIDT since December 2019. In this role, Sarah acts as an ambassador for Region 5, Central AlabamaWorks, facilitating communication between local business representatives and the Regional Workforce Council while representing senior leadership in workforce matters. Prior to this, Sarah was a Workforce Development Specialist at the State of Alabama Department of Commerce, where responsibilities included managing federal grant contracts and coordinating Local Workforce Development Board meetings. Earlier career experiences include serving as a Financial Support Supervisor and Worker at the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources, focusing on food assistance programs, and working as an Account Executive for Montgomery Advertiser, where Sarah developed advertising campaigns for local businesses. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Auburn University at Montgomery.
