Anna Jisu Lee

Senior Scientist at Alamar Biosciences, Inc.

Anna Jisu Lee has an extensive work experience in the field of biosciences, starting from their role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology in 2010. Anna Jisu conducted experiments and evaluated stem cell chondrogenic differentiation for neocartilage development.

Later, they worked at Duke University as a Graduate Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Associate. During this time, they developed a cell-based platform technology for containment of genetically modified bacteria and designed a protocol for quantifying growth and lysis rates of bacteria using automated liquid handling robotic system.

Anna Jisu then joined REG Life Sciences, LLC as a Metabolic Engineering Intern, where they engineered metabolic pathways and optimized the engineered E. coli platform for the production of specialty chemicals.

Following that, Anna worked at DiaCarta, Inc. and Intrexon Corporation as a Scientist, where they contributed to various scientific projects.

Most recently, they worked at Demetrix as a Senior Scientist, involved in scientific research and strategic contributions. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Scientist at Alamar Biosciences, Inc. starting from November 2022.

Anna Jisu Lee received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in the years 2007 to 2011. Anna Jisu then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, from 2011 to 2016.
