Helen C.

Helen C. is a seasoned literacy specialist currently employed at Alameda County Library since May 2017. Previously, Helen served as the SCAA Writing Center Coordinator and Multilingual/ESL/International Student Specialist at California State University - East Bay from September 2013 to May 2017. Helen also held the position of Oral English Teacher at Jiangxi Normal University from September 2012 to June 2013, instructing postgraduate non-English majors in English listening and speaking skills. Earlier experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Associate at California State University, East Bay from September 2011 to June 2012, and as a Student Assistant III at CSU East Bay University Library from January 2007 to September 2011. Helen holds a Master's degree in Library & Information Science from San Jose State University, a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from California State University - East Bay, and a Bachelor's degree in British and American Literature from the same institution.
