Rachel Sher

Rachel Sher is an experienced library professional with a diverse background in library management and systems. Currently serving as the Eden Area Libraries Manager and Albany Library Manager at Alameda County Library since February 2019, Rachel has also been with Oakland Public Library as Senior L.A. and Tool Library Manager since April 2015. Prior to these roles, Rachel worked as a Systems Librarian at Innovative Interfaces from November 2011 to January 2015 and as a Librarian at San Francisco University High School between August 2007 and November 2011. Rachel holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from San Jose State University, a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from California College of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tufts University.
