Alex Parker-Guerrero

Alex Parker-Guerrero is a Communications Specialist at the Alameda County Transportation Commission since August 2025 and also serves the Association for Asian American Studies in membership and communications roles since May 2022. Previously, Alex worked as a Communications Specialist and Mandel Presidential Fellow at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences from November 2020 to August 2025, managing strategic communications for a prominent research institute. Academic experience includes a Master's degree in Public Humanities from Brown University, where involvement spanned public history and Asian American studies. Alex's background includes research at the Smithsonian Institution's Anacostia Community Museum and communications roles at the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and Hispanics in Philanthropy, enhancing external communications and programmatic support. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Occidental College.
