Colleen Chawla

Colleen Chawla currently serves as the Health Care Services Agency Director and Agency Director for Alameda County, a position held since December 2017. Prior to this, Colleen held various roles at the San Francisco Department of Public Health, culminating in the position of Deputy Director of Health and Director of Policy & Planning from March 2010 to December 2017. Experience also includes serving as Director of State Government Affairs at Celgene and Government Affairs Manager at MedImmune, in addition to earlier roles at the San Francisco Department of Public Health and AIDS Project Los Angeles. Colleen Chawla earned a Master of Public Administration in Health Services Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Southern California.
