System Director Clinical Engineering at Alameda Health System

Dushyant Patel, MBA, has a strong background in clinical technology management and biomedical engineering. DUSHYANT currently serves as the Director of Clinical Engineering at Alameda Health System since September 2022. Previously, they worked at UCSF Medical Center & UCSF Children's Hospital, where they held several roles, including Associate Director of Clinical Technologies and Clinical Technologies Operations Manager. In these positions, they directed and oversaw managers and supervisors, ensuring adherence to schedules, equipment management plans, quality assurance processes, and budgets. DUSHYANT also implemented technological and administrative operational processes to ensure quality biomedical equipment and services across multiple clinical function areas. Prior to that, Patel worked at the University of California, San Francisco as a Clinical Technologies Supervisor II, where they maintained safe and efficient operations within the department. DUSHYANT has also served as the Chief Biomedical Engineer at California Pacific Medical Center and as a Biomedical Engineer III at Crothall Clinical Technology Management. In these roles, they supervised engineering staff, performed preventive maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, managed equipment inventory, and ensured compliance with quality control standards. Patel began their career as a Field Service Technician at STERIS Corporation. Dushyant Patel, MBA, completed their education in two stages. In 1998, they attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College. Later, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued an Executive Masters of Business Administration with a specialization in Health Care from Jack Welch Management Institute, focusing on Health/Health Care Administration/Management.
