E'Jaaz Ali Cissp, Hcispp

E'Jaaz Ali, CISSP, HCISPP, has a strong background in information security and has held various roles throughout their career. E'Jaaz currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Alameda Health System, a position they have held since May 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Security Engineer at El Camino Hospital from June 2015 to May 2020. E'Jaaz also gained experience as a Graduate Student at Santa Clara University from September 2014 to June 2016.

Before entering the healthcare industry, E'Jaaz worked extensively in the government and intelligence sectors. E'Jaaz served as a Senior Intelligence Analyst at the United States Department of Defense from June 2011 to August 2013, where they developed security policies, conducted audits and assessments, and managed and mentored a team of subordinates. Prior to this, they worked as an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Intelligence Community from May 2007 to May 2011, where they wrote standard operating procedures and tested information security plans.

E'Jaaz began their career as a Desktop Support Technician at Golden Gate Telecommunication, Inc. from May 2002 to April 2007. Overall, their diverse work experience showcases their expertise in information security, risk management, policy development, and team management.

E'Jaaz Ali, CISSP, HCISPP, has a strong educational background in computer science, engineering, and justice studies. E'Jaaz obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Santa Clara University, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, E'Jaaz attended San Jose State University from 2001 to 2006, earning a degree in Justice Studies with a focus on Forensic Chemistry.

In addition to their formal education, E'Jaaz has also obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and expertise. E'Jaaz obtained the CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in January 2014. In August 2017, they acquired the HITRUST Common Security Framework certification from HITRUST Alliance LLC. More recently, in June 2019, they achieved the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², along with the HCISPP certification from the same institution in January 2019.
