Gaurav Kuchhal

Gaurav Kuchhal has over 20 years of experience in product management and leadership roles in the tech industry. Gaurav began their career in 1996 as a System Designer for Mobile Products at River Run Software Group Inc. In 1999, they moved to Oracle as Group Product Manager for the Mobile & Voice Division, where they built a $160M Oracle Mobile business. In 2006, Kuchhal joined Salesforce.com as Senior Director of Product Management for the Mobile Division, launching Salesforce.com's world's first cloud-based mobile platform. In 2007, they joined Microsoft as Senior Director of Product Management for the Tellme platform, leading a 400-person cross-functional team. In 2011, Kuchhal became Managing Director (CEO) of Slashdot Media, turning a financially struggling company into a profitable one. In 2017, they joined Alan AI as Chief Product Officer, pioneering Spoken Language Understanding (SLU) to understand conversations and rapidly develop, debug, and iterate the conversational voice experience. Kuchhal also serves as an Advisory Board Member for Schoolze, Inc., a company on a mission to re-define success in K12 education.

Gaurav Kuchhal completed a Professional Certificate in Human-Centered AI, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Neuroscience from Stanford University in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in 1995.
