Richard Desgroppes

Richard Desgroppes is a seasoned professional in corporate finance advisory and legal counsel, currently serving as Associé | Partner in Real Estate & Hospitality at Alantra since October 2021. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of Partner in Capital Markets at Groupe Babylone from September 2016 to September 2021, focusing on real estate investments strategy and advisory. Previous experience includes serving as Group General Counsel at Mazars, where Richard provided legal expertise and led corporate legal initiatives, and as Europe Principal Legal Counsel at Colony Capital, managing legal documentation and negotiations for various transactions. Richard's legal expertise was further honed as a Senior Associate in Corporate & M&A at Loyens & Loeff. Richard holds multiple advanced law degrees, including an LL.M. from Louisiana State University and Erasmus University Rotterdam, along with a Master's degree in Corporate Law from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III).
