Achim Ruopp

Achim Ruopp is a seasoned professional specializing in localization and machine translation, currently serving as a Senior Localization Software Engineer at Alarm.com since May 2023. Previous experience includes founding and operating Polyglot Technology LLC, where Achim consulted for various organizations, developed machine translation evaluation tools, and conducted workshops on machine translation. Achim has also held academic positions as an Adjunct Professor at Capitol Technology University and Georgetown University, where coursework focused on artificial intelligence and machine translation. Earlier roles at Unbabel, TAUS, and Microsoft involved leadership in data management, research and development, and internationalization efforts.
