Matt Sanderson

Matt Sanderson is a highly experienced aviation professional currently serving as a 737 and A320 Captain at Alaska Airlines since March 2017. Prior to this, Matt held multiple roles at Virgin America from January 2010 to January 2018, including FOQA Gatekeeper and First Officer, as well as Human Factors Instructor. During tenure at Comair from February 1990 to January 2010, Matt served in various capacities such as Manager of Flight Safety, ASAP Manager, Line Check Airmen, and CRM/Human Factors Instructor, progressing from First Officer to Captain. Educational background includes studies at the University of Southern California, NTSB Training Academy, and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, along with ongoing training at GE Aviation Digital.
