Matjaz Rakun

Matjaz Rakun is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as Captain of the B737 700/800 at RwandAir Ltd since August 2019. Prior to this role, Matjaz held the position of Captain on the B737-800 at Ryanair from October 2017 to July 2019 and served as Captain of the CRJ 700/900 at Adria Airways between September 2015 and October 2017. Early career experiences include roles as First Officer at both Adria Airways and Garuda Indonesia, along with work as a CNC operator and service leader in other industries. Matjaz's educational background includes an ATPL from Adria Airways FTO and an Engineer's Degree in Aeronautics from the University in Ljubljana. Additional military training was completed at the officer school in Slovenia.
