Catherine Stone

Director, Public Housing at Alaska Housing Finance Corporation

Cathy started with Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) seven years ago as director of housing operations where she was responsible for the statewide operations of the public housing division. Over the past three years, she has been directing the division where she oversees administration of 1,750 public housing units and 4,600 vouchers statewide. Prior to coming to AHFC, Cathy was with the State of Alaska department of law as an assistant attorney general in the commercial and fair business section.

After double-majoring in political science and American history at Willamette University, Cathy received her law degree from Gonzaga University. She is on the Alaska Mental Health Board, the National Housing and Redevelopment Authorities Pacific Northwest Board, Cook Inlet Soccer Club Board, and is involved in supporting school activities through various booster clubs and fundraising activities.

Although she was born in New Jersey, Cathy has lived in Alaska since the age of 10. In her free time she stays active with family, exploring Alaska on hikes, playing tennis and keeping up with her three sons, two dogs and husband. She is passionate about the work she does helping Alaska families with their affordable housing needs.
