Jacquelynn Engebretson

Director Of Behavioral Health at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium

Jacquelynn Engebretson has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of behavioral health and social work. Jacquelynn is currently serving as the Director of Behavioral Health at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Program Manager at ANTHC from January 2019 to October 2022.

Before joining ANTHC, Jacquelynn worked as a Social Work Intern at The Tulalip Tribes from October 2017 to July 2018. Jacquelynn also gained valuable experience as a Social Work Intern at YMCA of Snohomish County from October 2016 to June 2017.

Earlier in their career, Jacquelynn worked at the National Indian Health Board in various roles. Jacquelynn served as a Public Health Project Coordinator from September 2014 to September 2016. Before that, they worked as an Executive Assistant/Office Manager from May 2012 to September 2014 and as a Policy Associate for Medicare, Medicaid, and Health Care Reform from October 2013 to July 2014.

Jacquelynn's work experience showcases their dedication to improving health outcomes and welfare in Indigenous communities, particularly in the areas of behavioral health and public health.

Jacquelynn Engebretson completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Studies, History, and Women's Studies from the University of Alaska Anchorage from 2008 to 2010. Jacquelynn then pursued a Master of Social Work degree with a focus on Community-Centered Practice and Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington School of Social Work, which they completed from 2016 to 2018. Jacquelynn is currently working towards earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Health Services Administration from Alaska Pacific University, a program they started in 2020 and is expected to graduate from in 2022.
