Juliann Pico, SPHR has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Juliann began their career as a Youth Advocate at the Family and Community Team Boulder County Mental Health Center in 1998. From there, they joined Devereux Cleo Wallace in 1999, where they served as a Training Manager/Unit Supervisor. During their time at Devereux Cleo Wallace, they supervised and trained staff in various areas such as regulatory compliance, crisis prevention and intervention, and human resources. Juliann also played a role in designing and developing training programs.

In 2008, Juliann worked as a Human Resources Generalist at Sanjel USA Inc. Their responsibilities included providing HR support for multiple locations and handling tasks such as recruiting, new hire orientation, compliance, and implementing safety programs.

In 2010, they joined the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) and held various roles. Juliann started as a Director of Employee Learning and Development, where they played a crucial role in aligning learning strategies with organizational and workforce development goals. Later, they became the Director of Human Resources and then the Deputy Senior Director - Human Resources. Juliann continued their education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they earned another Bachelor of Arts degree, this time in Philosophy, in 1996. In 1997-1998, Juliann attended the University of Colorado Denver to study Instructional Design. Later, in 2013-2014, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. During the same period, they also earned a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from the same institution.

Juliann has also obtained additional certifications. In May 2015, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Additionally, Juliann has completed the Emotional Intelligence Certified Trainer- Level I and II program, offered by TalentSmart.
