Megan Ackerman

Biostatistician at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium

Megan Ackerman has a diverse range of work experience. Megan currently works as an Associate Health Statistician at the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), where they conduct descriptive statistical analysis, supports data dissemination, and provides dataset management for the Alaska Native EpiCenter. Megan is also a member of the Healthy Alaskans 2030 Data and Core Teams.

Before their current role, Megan was an Administrative Assistant II at the State of Alaska, DHSS, Division of Public Health (DPH), where they provided administrative support for two sections within the Division of Public Health, aided with financial analysis, and used pivot tables to build backup documentation for accounting documents.

Prior to that, they worked at C2 North LLC as a Program & Technology Support Specialist, where they assisted with the preparation and distribution of Small Business Administration (SBA) programs and was responsible for accounting tasks and financial reporting. Megan also served as a Project Assistant, providing general office support and managing various administrative tasks.

Megan's work experience also includes a role as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where they pulled, analyzed, and visualized American Community Survey data for research projects focused on Alaskan demography.

Megan Ackerman earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Demography at the University of Southampton from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, in October 2020, Megan obtained a Food Handler Card from TAP Series.
