Steven Cooley

Technical Superintendent at Alaska Tanker Company

Steven Cooley has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Steven first worked at Alaska Tanker Company as a Chief Engineer starting in 2016. Prior to that, they worked at American Bureau of Shipping as a Surveyor from 2013 to 2014. Their earlier experience at Alaska Tanker Company includes roles as First Assistant Engineer from 2007 to 2014, where they were responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's Diesel Electric Propulsion Plant, and as Chief Engineer of MT Alaskan Legend from December 2012 to January 2013.

Steven Cooley attended California State University Maritime Academy from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1998, they transferred to Oregon State University but did not complete a degree there. Instead, they returned to California Maritime Academy to continue their studies in Mechanical Engineering.
