Stuart Lombard

Stuart Lombard is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in technology and venture capital. As the Founder and CEO of ecobee inc. from July 2007 to November 2023, Lombard led the company to become a prominent smart thermostat brand, overseeing a workforce of over 600 employees and partnerships with major retailers and technology giants like Apple, Amazon, and Google. Prior to ecobee, Lombard was a Partner at Relay Ventures, where responsibilities included managing investments in technology firms. Lombard also served as VP of R&D at Grocery Gateway, where impactful technology infrastructure developments enabled rapid revenue growth. Earlier roles include Co-CEO positions at Isolation Systems and Inforamp, contributing to significant advancements in commercial virtual private networking and internet service provision, respectively. Lombard holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from Queen's University, complemented by a formative education at UCC.
