Alok Herath

Alok Herath has a diverse work history, starting with a role as a Youth Outreach Volunteer at UNICEF Canada in 2017. Alok then worked as a Compliance Analyst at G8 Research Group in 2018 and as a Research and Communications Assistant at Citizen Lab from 2018 to 2019. In 2019, Alok became a Market Researcher at Algorithms Exposed - University of Amsterdam. Alok then joined AlayaCare in 2020 as a Strategy Analyst. Alok quickly progressed within the company, holding positions such as Strategy Associate and Corporate Strategy Manager. Currently, Alok works at AlayaCare as the Strategy and Government Initiatives Lead. Throughout their roles at AlayaCare, Alok has demonstrated skills in strategy development, market research, due diligence, and M&A activity. Alok has also contributed to the implementation of sales enablement tools and conducted comprehensive market analyses.

Alok Herath completed the International Baccalaureate program at UWC South East Asia, with a focus on Higher Level subjects such as History, Chemistry, and Biology. Later, Alok pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors at the University of Toronto, where they double majored in Political Science and Global Health. In 2020, Alok also obtained a certification in French (DELF B2) from Alliance Française de Toronto.
