Diane Button

Diane Button has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Diane currently works at AlayaCare as the Director of Engineering for AC Residential. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Engineering Manager at the same company, leading and growing multiple distributed scrum teams. Before joining AlayaCare, Diane worked at AML Oceanographic as an Engineering Manager, where they led a multidisciplinary engineering team and successfully launched multiple Agile projects. Diane also has experience working at Codan Radio Communications as a Sustaining Engineering Manager and Manager of Software, where they managed renewal and enhancement projects and transformed a disorganized software and automation team into an efficient agile organization. Earlier in their career, Diane worked at Incognito Software as a Senior Software Engineer, completing significant enhancements to legacy software, and at Broadcom as a Software Engineer, enhancing call management software for Voice over IP phones. Diane also worked at Triant Technologies Inc. as a Software Engineer, designing and implementing software for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Diane began their career with co-op work terms at Nortel, Motorola, ISG, and Syncrude, where they gained valuable experience in various engineering roles.

Diane Button holds a Master's Certificate in Project Management from the Schulich School of Business - York University, obtained in 2019. Diane also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, earned between 1996 and 2000. In addition, they acquired a certification in C++ Smart Pointers from lynda.com in September 2015.
