Tony Green

Bishop Tony Green is the Director of Pastoral Care and Volunteer Services for Ellis Medicine. He is auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Little Portion, Catholic Apostolic Church in North America and founder and pastor of St. John of God Parish. Bp. Green has worked in healthcare for most of his career. Prior to Ellis Medicine, Bp. Green was a home care chaplain for The Community Hospice. Bp. Green has also served as interim pastor for several churches in the Capital District. Bp. Green holds an Associate in Science Degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services with a focus on Social Change, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree. Bp. Green is a Board-Certified Clinical Chaplain with the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. He is the current Chair of the Ellis Medicine Ethics Committee and is a leader for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Bp. Green comes to the ACAP Board of Directors with experience working at the North Shore Community Action Program as a housing advocate while he was in seminary. Bp. Green has been very outspoken and an activist on many issues of injustice that affect the health and well-being of people in the community.
