Ömer Emeç

He completed his undergraduate education in the Department of Business Administration at Boğaziçi University, his master's degree in Business Administration from Istanbul Şehir University and his doctorate in Islamic Economics and Finance at Istanbul University. Continuing her academic studies simultaneously with her business life, Emeç worked as a researcher at the Ecopolitics Center for Strategic Studies throughout her student years. Emec, who undertook various responsibilities such as strategy, research, corporate performance, international business development and project management in the telecom and banking sectors in his professional career, started working at Albaraka Türk in 2014 as a Strategist until 2017, Chief Economist between 2017-2020, and between 2020-2022. He also served as the Strategic Planning and Economic Research Unit Manager. Emec, As of October 2022, he continues his duty as Assistant General Manager in charge of Strategy and Transformation at our bank and serves as a Board Member at Albaraka Teknoloji Bilişim Sistemleri ve Pazarlama Ticaret A.Ş. (AlbarakaTech Global). Emeç, who also works as an economic commentator for national and international broadcasting organizations, is an active manager in various non-governmental organizations and continues his academic career by giving lectures in areas such as financial management, central banking, special issues in banking and finance.
