Karen Plyler

Karen Plyler is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in tax compliance and business coaching. Currently serving as the Lead Tax Specialist at Albemarle County since December 2015, Karen has developed training materials for new hires and ensured compliance for business owners. As the Chief Executive Officer of Its Vibe Modern LLC since May 2020, Karen provides coaching to new business owners in setting up their entities and obtaining funding. Additionally, Karen owns and operates Karen Plyler Bookkeeping since January 2018. Previous experience includes serving as a Tax Specialist I for the City of Charlottesville, where responsibilities included processing state tax filings and educating residents on tax regulations. Karen holds an AABA degree in Accounting and Finance from American InterContinental University.
