Christopher Soyka

Christopher Soyka, CSP has a diverse work experience in various industries, primarily focusing on safety and compliance. Christopher is currently working as the Mining Safety Lead at Albemarle Corporation, where they develop and implements safety policies and procedures for a lithium resource project. Prior to that, they worked as a Mine Safety Representative at Cleveland-Cliffs Inc, leading health and safety initiatives and conducting audits. Christopher has also served as a Safety Coordinator at Newkirk Electric Associates, Inc, a Regional Safety, Quality and Compliance Coordinator at Miller Pipeline, and a Safety Intern at Covanta. Christopher has experience in the mining, electric, and pipeline industries, as well as in the military, where they served as an Infantry Squad Leader in the US Army. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong commitment to safety standards and has a proven track record of promoting and enforcing safety protocols.

Christopher Soyka, CSP, holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management from Grand Valley State University, which they completed from 2013 to 2017. Christopher also pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, starting in 2012. Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Certified Safety Professional (CSP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in 2023.
