Colleen Herndon Penhall

Colleen Herndon Penhall currently serves as Vice President Global Communications at Albemarle Corporation, overseeing global communications and brand marketing for the Fortune 500 leader in lithium and bromine since April 2024. Previously, Colleen held the same title at JELD-WEN, Inc., where responsibilities included community relations and divestiture communications. As Chief Communications & Marketing Officer at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Colleen developed comprehensive communications strategies for an institution with over 30,000 students. Colleen's experience also includes leadership roles at Lowe's Companies, Inc., where roles ranged from Chief Communications Officer to Senior Manager of Change Communications, and at Bank of America and Altria, focusing on corporate communications and internal messaging. Colleen's educational background includes executive education in Leadership During Crisis from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Elon University.
