Farrel Tay

Farrel Tay is a Process Technology Engineer at Albemarle Corporation since June 2023, with a strong background in metallurgical and process engineering. Prior to this role, Farrel worked as a Plant Metallurgist at Talison Lithium from January 2022 to June 2023 and as a Senior Process Engineer at Galaxy Resources Limited from October 2019 to January 2022, where involvement included the FEED and detailed engineering of Stage 1 of the Sal de Vida project. Farrel’s career also includes positions as a Process Engineer at DRA Global and a Plant Metallurgist at Glencore, focusing on operations at McArthur River Mine. Earlier experience includes work as a Metallurgical Technician at SGS, supporting pilot plant and test work. Farrel holds a Graduate Diploma in Project Management and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Curtin University.
