Ruth Danzeisen

Ruth Danzeisen, PhD, DABT, currently serves as the Corporate Toxicology Director at Albemarle Corporation since November 2021, previously holding the position of Principal Toxicologist at the Cobalt Institute from September 2012 to November 2021. In the latter role, Ruth focused on human health toxicology concerning cobalt, managing health-related scientific issues and regulatory compliance globally. Prior to this, Ruth was the Assistant Director at the International Copper Association from June 2005 to August 2012, addressing public and occupational health issues in the copper industry. Educationally, Ruth obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Aberdeen and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science and Toxicology from Universität Hohenheim. Ruth's extensive experience includes conducting data gap analyses and developing new projects in response to regulatory requirements and industry needs.
