Andre Bachteram

Andre Bachteram, M.Sc., P.Biol., is a highly experienced professional in the field of aquatic biology and water quality management. Currently serving as a Senior Limnologist and Water Quality Specialist at the Alberta Energy Regulator since September 2015, Andre has held various leadership roles, including Lead for Industry Performance in Mining and Performance Analyst. Prior experience includes a decade at Golder Associates, where Andre designed and implemented numerous aquatic monitoring programs and analyzed data for various sectors, including mining and municipal projects. Earlier career roles at Rescan Environmental Services Ltd. involved data analysis and field sampling for aquatic monitoring in northern ecosystems. Educational qualifications encompass a Master’s degree in Aquatic Biology from the University of Windsor, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and a Specialization Certificate in Invertebrate Biology from the University of Alberta.
