Kris Barker has extensive experience in both government and private sectors, currently serving as Chief of Staff for multiple ministers within the Government of Alberta since 2019. Barker's previous roles include Senior Advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure and Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade & Tourism. In addition to a leadership role at a privately held company focused on strategic real estate investments, Barker has also contributed as Edmonton Regional Director for the United Conservative Party of Alberta and as an Account Manager at BDC, supporting entrepreneurs. Prior international experience includes involvement in business development for a Canadian infrastructure company and performing missions of strategic importance with the Government of Canada’s Department of National Defence. Education includes a Master of Global Management from Royal Roads University and Management Studies with a focus on Accounting and Business from MacEwan University.
