Dogan Polat

Dogan Polat is an experienced professional with a diverse background spanning various roles in both engineering and local governance. Since May 2005, Dogan has worked as an Engine Driver at DSB while also holding multiple significant positions in Albertslund Municipality, including Chairman of Urban Development and Chairman of Innovation and Welfare since December 2013, with active political involvement as a local councillor for the Social Democrats since 2009. Additionally, Dogan has been serving as Chairman of the Albertslund Culture House since 2007, contributing to community initiatives especially for the local Turkish population. From September 2020 to July 2021, Dogan was the owner of Wonderful Bagels. An educational background includes an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Danmarks Tekniske Universitet, completed between 1997 and 2003.
