Karen Poreh

Vice President at Albright Stonebridge Group

Karen Poreh is a Vice President in ASG’s Europe practice, where she advises clients on market entry, political risk, and government relations. She brings extensive experience helping clients navigate complex issues across emerging markets.

Prior to joining ASG, Ms. Poreh was a Research Assistant to Ambassador Eric Edelman at the Philip Merrill Center for Strategic Studies, assisting in the development of graduate-level coursework on the Iraq wars and U.S. nuclear strategy.

Before that, Ms. Poreh was a Global Communications and Public Affairs Intern and a Policy Analysis Intern at Google. In these roles, she worked on a variety of global technology issues, including free expression and internet censorship, cyber security, and internet marketing trends, among others.

Ms. Poreh holds an M.A. in International Relations and Economics, focusing on Strategic Studies and International Financial Markets, from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. A member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, she earned a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University, with a regional focus on the Middle East.

Ms. Poreh has appeared on CNN and has been interviewed by POLITICO, Reuters, and other news outlets on U.S.-Cuba relations and other political and economic issues. She is a political risk instructor at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

Ms. Poreh is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew and is proficient in French.

She is based in Washington, D.C.
