Michael Madnick

Senior Advisor at Albright Stonebridge Group

Michael Madnick is a Senior Advisor with ASG’s Sustainability practice, where he assists nonprofit clients around the world with strategic planning, cross-sector partnership development, government relations, issue advocacy, and communications.

Mr. Madnick has led a long and distinguished career in international development and philanthropy. Since 2017 he has served as the founding Chief Executive Officer of Mountain Philanthropies. For many years prior, he maintained a highly selective consulting practice advising institutional and family foundations, multinational companies, non-profit organizations, ultra-high net worth individuals, and government agencies.

Mr. Madnick has also held various other leadership roles, including Deputy Executive Director for the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and Deputy Director for Global Health Policy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he led government relations, issue advocacy, and grantmaking and developed a wide range of philanthropic partnerships with other donors, governments, and companies. Mr. Madnick also served as Senior Vice President at the United Nations Foundation.

Mr. Madnick serves on a number of nonprofit boards and committees, including most recently the International Refugees Assistance Project (IRAP), where he chairs its Governance Committee.

Mr. Madnick holds a J.D. from Pace University School of Law, and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.

He is based in Washington, D.C.
