Matt Grace has a diverse work experience in various roles within the healthcare industry. Matt started their career as a Bartender at Crown Resorts in 2004 before transitioning to mental health care. Matt worked as a Mental Health Clinician at Austin Health from 2007 to 2013, where they also had a role as Constant Patient Observation. Following this, they worked as a Mental Health Clinician at Aspen Medical Pty Ltd from 2013 to 2016 and later at Medibank from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, they took on roles as the Director at Nurses Board of Victoria Legacy Limited and as a Practitioner Member at AHPRA. Matt joined Albury Wodonga Health in 2019 and has held various positions, including Mental Health Crisis Clinician, Clinical Manager, Clinical Lead, Nurse Unit Manager, Acting Mental Health Operational Director, and currently serving as the Director of Nursing for Mental Health & Wellbeing since 2024.
Matt Grace obtained a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing from RMIT University in 2010 and a Bachelor of Nursing with a focus on Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the same university between 2006 and 2008. Matt is also certified as a Health Informatician through the Australasian Institute of Digital Health and is a registered nurse through the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Matt is a member of the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation.
