Dillip Rout

Dillip Rout has held various positions in the agricultural industry since 2001. Dillip began their career as a Project Coordinator cum Hospital Manager at Antyodaya Chetana Mandal, where they were responsible for analyzing and evolving vision and plans for the project, planning and delivering trainings, monitoring the project budget, and preparing reports. In 2013, they became the Team Leader cum Livelihood Expert at Gopabandhu Development Society, where they conducted farmer participatory demonstrations, popularized the SRI method of paddy cultivation, and coordinated with government line departments. In 2014, they were a Zonal Coordinator at Access Livelihoods Consulting India Limited, where they were responsible for overall coordination of IGA activities in a zone, including planning, executing, monitoring and reporting of all activities at DMU level, and linking SHG clusters with Mission Shaktim ORMAS, NRLM, etc. In 2015, they became the Project Manager at Access Livelihoods Consulting India Pvt. Ltd., where they ensured that the promoting organization and their program staff had a common understanding and necessary capacity to help the producers run and manage the viable Producer Organization in respective clusters with sound business models. In 2016, they were a Monitoring and Evaluation Asst. at CIMMYT. Finally, since 2017, they have been an Officer Agriculture Research Development at the International Rice Research Institute, where they look and conducts day-to-day implementation and monitoring of activities to support the experiments, demonstrations, trials, surveys and other research studies related to the adoption, impact and dissemination of Stress Tolerant Rice Varieties. Dillip also supervises timely execution of all extension, development and research activities, conducts data management and analysis, provides regular feedback on project activities, and ensures certified seed production.

Dillip Rout attended Brahmapura High School in Brahmapura, Mayurbhanj, Odisha from 1989 to 1991, where they obtained their Master's Degree in Social Work.
