Petko Betsinski has worked in the software engineering industry since 2008. Petko began their career at Bulgarian Software Solutions as a QA Automation Engineer, where they were responsible for performing functionality testing, GUI testing, system testing and end-to-end testing. Petko then moved to Hewlett-Packard in 2010, where they held two positions as a Backup Technical Support Engineer and Backup and SAN Technical Support Engineer. In 2015, they joined Playtech as a Senior QA Engineer, where they developed and maintained an automation framework based on Java and created internal tools in order to automate time consuming manual tasks with Python. Currently, they are a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Alcatraz, where they are developing a Python automation framework from scratch and implementing a Page Object Model framework with Python and Selenium. Petko is also developing API tests for the web service REST.
Petko Betsinski obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geology and Geoinformatics from the University of Mining and Geology "St. Ivan Rilski" between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended 8th Vasil Levski from 2003 to 2008. In addition, Petko has obtained several certifications from various institutions, including LinkedIn, Pragmatic IT Learning & Outsourcing Center, and Lynda.com, ranging from Using Python for Automation to Setting up a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server.
