Guillaume Poncin has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Guillaume started their career as an intern software engineer at Microsoft in 2003. Guillaume then worked as a research assistant at Stanford University, where they contributed to building the Stanford multi-camera array team and worked on CityBlock, which later became Google Street View. In 2004, Guillaume joined Google as a principal engineer, leading the tech team for Stratus, a new infrastructure for handling user data at scale. Guillaume also worked on various user-facing applications, serving over 500 million users. In 2016, they joined Osmo as the chief product officer and VP of Engineering, overseeing the growth of the product team across multiple countries and the acquisition of Osmo by Byju's in 2019. Later, in 2020, Guillaume joined Stripe as the head of engineering for banking and financial products, and subsequently worked on crypto before leaving in 2023. Currently, they hold the position of head of engineering at Alchemy.

Guillaume Poncin completed their education with a Master's degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Diplome d'ingenieur in Maths and Computer Science from École Polytechnique between 1999 and 2002.
