Johnny Brister

Johnny Brister is currently the Security Practice Principal at Alchemy Technology Group. Prior to this, they were with Ochsner Health for 8 months as their Information Security title-holder. Before that, they spent 2 years and 11 months as the Security Practice Principal at Alchemy Technology Group, LLC. Johnny's responsibilities there included being transformative and delivering top-tier technical and account management services.

Before their time at Alchemy Technology Group, LLC, Johnny spent 11 years and 10 months as the AVP, Information Technology & Security (CISO), Director Information Technology Infrastructure, IT Systems Manager at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. There, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of Technology and Information Security for the Enterprise, as well as directing the long-range direction of the organization's technology & security function. Additionally, they managed IT systems including Windows Systems, Citrix Systems, Oracle and SQL Databases, VDI and MainFrame Systems.

Before that, Johnny spent 4 years as the IS Support Services Manager at Pelican State Credit Union.

Johnny began their career with a 4 year stint in the US Navy.

Johnny Brister attended Northwestern State University from 2015-2019 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Johnny also attended ITI Technical College from 2001-2003 and obtained an Associate of Science in Information Technology. Johnny is also certified in CISSP and ITIL v3 Foundation.
